As our first milestone, Danfield has introduced the Leaf10 high-efficiency solar panel, designed specifically to power Arlo outdoor security cameras. Leaf10 is the first 5W solar charger of its kind, engineered to extend camera uptime, increase recording frequency, and support higher-resolution video capture.

Its robust design allows Arlo cameras to be installed in high-activity areas such as driveways, streets, and public zones—where consistent monitoring matters most. Even in low-light or cloudy conditions, Leaf10 continues to generate strong output, ensuring uninterrupted operation and data collection.

About the Founder Mageshkumar Kuppusamy

Founder & CEO, Danfield LLC | Principal CAD & ASIC Engineer

Mageshkumar Kuppusamy is a semiconductor technologist and entrepreneur passionate about developing electronic products that make life better for people and enhance the safety of homes and their residents. He brings over 15 years of experience in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design, test, and automation from leading semiconductor companies such as Intel and LSI Corporation (now Broadcom).

With a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, where he also served as an instructor and research assistant in analog circuit design, Mageshkumar’s career embodies a blend of academic rigor and hands-on engineering innovation.

He founded Danfield LLC, a California-based technology startup developing smart, sustainable power platforms for IoT ecosystems. Under his leadership, Danfield introduced the Leaf10 high-efficiency solar panel — the first in a series of products designed to enable uninterrupted operation of connected security and automation devices. His vision is to position Danfield as a leader in portable, reliable, and eco-friendly power systems that drive data collection and intelligence extraction from IoT devices worldwide.

Outside of work, Mageshkumar enjoys spending time with his two sons, exploring the outdoors through camping, kayaking, and hands-on projects — often fixing toys, bicycles, & doing car washes together.
